Kathleen LeMay, M.A., CCC-SLP

Hey there! I am Kathleen LeMay, and I am a Speech Language Pathologist joining the SST team!

I have a B.A. from The University of Mount Union in Early Childhood Education, and received my M.A. in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Akron. I come to the SST team having been working in the field for 13 years within the school-based setting. I am passionate about helping children grow their speech and language skills, as well as helping to support those skills in regards to a child's educational access and success. I have had the pleasure of helping children with a wide variety of speech and language needs, including children identified as neurodivergent. As someone who is neurodivergent herself, I enjoy bringing my experience and insight to my therapy space to help students acquire skills through a supportive and neuroaffirming approach to therapy. I also have experience with Gestalt Language Processing and use of AAC, and pride myself on being well informed about special education policy.

I am originally from the NE Ohio area! I currently live in Sunbury with my son, Dean, and my 3-legged cat, Dexter. When I am not doing speech therapy, I enjoy time playing with my son, reading a book that piques my interest, building lego models, watching comedies and seeing live music. I love music, spongebob squarepants, dunkin', the color green, and trying new foods! I am also a Cleveland sports fan.

I like to make therapy sessions fun, engaging, and child-centered. I look forward to helping your kiddo learn and grow!
