Did you know...
There is more effectiveness research on Sensory Integration (SI) than any other
area of Occupational Therapy (O.T.) and meta-analysis of Health Related research
shows O. T. to be an undervalued service.
Found at: www.way2grow.com. (Daems - 1994, 57 studies on effectiveness of SI as a treatment; Vargas & Camilli -1999, 16 studies; Miller –2003, 80 articles)

Our Infant Touch and Massage Program is currently on hold. Length of each class is 60 minutes and there is room for 4-5 families. Class is open to special needs and typically-developing babies (birth to pre-crawling). The instruction of Infant Touch and Massage is designed to be individualized to each baby and parent.
The goal of family-centered touch and massage is not to learn just generic repetition of infant massage strokes, but to learn how to read your baby's cues/non-verbal communication, recognize interaction through touch with your baby, and then adapting your massage approach so that it supports your child's sensory needs and capabilities.
Emphasis will also be placed on positioning and specific techniques for concerns with colic, constipation, reflux, congestion, etc.
Other benefits of infant massage include promotion of parent-infant bonding, stimulating baby's brain development, decreasing stress, creating better sleeping patterns, improving muscle tone and circulation, and much more!
